Franchesca is originally from Puerto Rico and moved to the DFW area in 2013. She is married and has two lovely doggies named Leia and Athena. Her deepest passion is to serve others with her caring, warm and genuine personality.
Franchesca earned a Bachelors Degree in Education with a major in Social Studies from the University of Puerto Rico in 2007. In 2011, she completed a Masters Degree in Education with a Major in Counseling from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico. After a year living in Texas, she decided to go back to school and graduated from LeTourneau University completing a second Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Her professional journey has been adventurous, to say the least. She has served as a teacher at all levels, school counselor and professional counselor for the past 10 years. Her journey as a counselor started back home and then it was resumed in 2016 when she became a Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern in the state of Texas. For two years she provided counseling services at a non-profit clinic for those who are uninsured and underserved. During that time she worked closely with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, spiritual issues, life transitions, marital and family conflicts.
Franchesca sees the counseling relationship as a team. She will walk alongside your counseling journey, and help you establish your own goals and pace. You are the expert in your own life and no one knows you better than yourself. She will provide a safe place, where you can be yourself and feel free to say whatever you need to say. Her commitment is to will help you find healing, comfort or guidance as long as you are committed and responsible for your own progress.
Franchesca is a National Certified Counselor and is a member of the American Counseling Association, Texas Counseling Association, International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors and EMDR International Association.
